Detox shakes, Vegan food & lot more...This malad eatery will surely help you stay fit


Amidst the commercial and entertainment hub of Malad, this eatery has come up with its own set of resolution. Their motto is simple..."Eat Healthy, Live Healthy". From Vegan food, Gluten free, Dairy free food to detox shakes...they have a healthy menu to sate your appetite in a delectable way.  We recently visited this place and this is our take on Freshyy. 

Ambience

Surrounded by malls and commercial buildings on all side, this place is a small joint with not much seating capacity. However, they have overcome this with excellent utilisation of the available space by dividing the outlet in two storeys. The ground storey is partly kitchen with few tables while the entire upper storey has seating arrangement. The ambience is decent with grass walls on the entrance and a screen for entertainment. The entire place is air conditioned.

Food

The menu though is minimal offering limited options, great efforts have been put behind each course keeping in mind the health motto along with good taste. The menu offers Breakfast, Salads, Sandwiches, Pastas and Drinks. We tried the following items and really loved all of them. 

When we talk of healthy food, the first thing that hits our mind is the Salad section. They have really stressed on this section as you have an option of making your own salad. You can choose from a huge list of options and build your own salad. Now, if you are baffled like us with the list of options they also have a curated salads menu to choose from and avoid confusion. We started our meal with the most known yet unique salad on the list.

  1. Deconstructed Shawarma Salad
     A bowl full of crunchy veggies such as beetroot, lettuce, red cabbage, onions along with pieces of grilled chicken and small squares of pita all tossed in cool mint yogurt and seasoned with sesame seeds. The crunch itself spoke of the freshness and quality of veggies used. Would highly recommend it.


  2. Chicken Creamy Pesto

    On chefs recommendation we tried the Chicken creamy pasta. Penne Pasta, chicken, cherry tomatoes and sliced black olives all tossed in creamy pesto sauce. Finely made with perfect balance of veggies and meat and flavorful pesto.


  3. Grilled Chicken Sandwich

    Healthy multi-grain loaf layered with fresh cucumber, tomatoes, onions, olives and a dollop of tzatziki spread. This is one highly nutritious pick which will get you stuffed really fast. The freshness and crunchiness of veggies gives it a refreshing finish.

  4. Drinks
     We tried the Big Bang shake consisting  of banana, chikoo and dates blended in Soy milk. It is a natural energy booster and works wonders for your immune system. The other drink we tried was rightly named the Seven Deadly Sins. It is a concoction of red grapes, apples, banana, orange, pineapple, cinnamon and chia seeds. A highly packed nutritious drink full of antioxidants which will surely keep you active all day.
Overall, this place truly lives upto its words of serving healthy food. A lot of thought has been put and worked upon behind the entire menu. Finest quality ingredients, prompt service and above all unconventional fusion of health with taste makes it a recommended place.

Dahisar just got a fresh new Adda...!!

FF-ADDA a small freshly opened pure veg food joint in Dahisar well know for its Chinese and pocket friendly food options.  Visited this place recently, we were greeted by the staff and were pleased with the service. The staff and owner both are very friendly Subtle but quirky interiors with modest seating arrangement is all they offer.  Moving onto food, we ordered Onion surprise to munch on, the coating was perfectly crisp with stuffed mozzarella inside but did lack a bit of spices, could have been better. Later we ordered the FF-Adda special rice. A bowl full of rice topped with gravy loaded with exotic veggies and served with Manchurian gravy. It definitely cheered me up.   To finish our meals on a sweeter note we ordered the Oreo Shake. It was served chilled in a cute Mason jar with crushed Oreo cookies on the top.
